The young Paladin used her smaller size as an advantage, ducking and rolling to the right out of the feral creature’s reach, then springing to her feet and bursting into a run to where the blacksmith’s shop was. The beast was right behind her.
Jati dodged to the side, and the creature’s pounce landed harmlessly on the floor of the shop, almost too close to the bellows fire for comfort. The Worg, yelping as sparks flew onto its fur, picked itself up and turned around to face its victim—and repeated that yelp as a hammer struck its shoulder with a good deal of force. Jati heard the bone crack from this far away. It was a one-handed weapon, not as powerful as the warhammer she usually carried was, and it clearly wasn’t made for combat.
But, in her expert hands, it’d do.
